Gurmukhan te manmukhan da ho kade nahin sakda mail;
Vakho vakh dohan da rasta ralda nahin paani te teil. Ik tare te dooja dobe eh hai ajab prabhu da khel; Ek peo de dovein puttar ik paas te dooja fail. Gurmukh hardam khushiyan maanan gur godi beh karde khel; Kahe avtar yam pa lai jaasi manmukhan de nakk nakeil. |

A devotee and a wayward have no meeting point;
The two have their divergent paths, like oil and water they cannot integrate with each other. One makes others cross the ocean of materialism and the other drowns them, one fails to understand this strange game of the Almighty; Both of them are the sons of the same Father, one succeeds while the other fails. The devotees are always happy, they feel cheerful in the divine lap of the True Master. Avtar says, the Angels of Death shall put their string in the nose of the wayward and take them away. |
Meaning
A devotee and a wilful have no meeting point. The two have their opposite paths, like oil and water they cannot integrate with each other. One who is devotee floats and makes others cross the ocean of greediness while wilful drowns himself and hence others too and this is the strange game of the Almighty. Both of them are the sons of the same Father, one succeeds while the other fails. The devotees are always happy. They feel cheerful in the divine lap of the True Master. Baba Avtar singh ji says that, the Angels of Death will put their string in the nose of the disobedient (self –willed) and take them away.
